3 typhoid cases in Colorado tied to restaurant

Health officials say three people who ate at a restaurant in Firestone contracted typhoid fever in August.

The Weld County Health Department announced Monday that two of the individuals who ate at the Qdoba restaurant were hospitalized, but that all three have since recovered.

Officials believe the disease was spread by an infected food handler. Qdoba management and employees have cooperated in the investigation, and officials say it is safe to eat at the restaurant.

The health department hasn't received any reports of sick individuals since mid-October.
